Consider Sponsoring your Fellow Yogi in this Charity Race
Aloha Hot Yoga Hilo Members and friends,
I am fundraising and training to race in the ~4 mile Charity Walk/Run that starts at the Queen's shops near the Hilton Waikoloa at 6:45 am on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 to benefit Hope Services and the homeless in our community. My goal is to help Hope Services meet its goal of raising $3000 for the homeless of Hawaii Island through this event. So far I have raised over $1,140. Please consider helping support this worthy cause in one of two ways.
1) You can register to participate in the Charity walk or run through my sponsorship page link below. The cost is $50, which goes to Hope Services via my sponsorship page, but it comes with aid station refreshments and other giveaways throughout the beautiful walk/run course, followed by all you can eat free gourmet food samples donated from all the nearby resorts after the race, games and activities for kids, and live entertainment throughout.
2) If getting up at 4 am or earlier to drive to Waikoloa does not sound like your cup of tea despite all those perks, you can also support this fund-raiser by making a tax-deductible donation to sponsor me your fellow yogi in the race via credit card using the same link below.
You can register or donate through my sponsorship page at the following link: https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vf/HawaiiIsland/ChristinaWhitworth Click "Make a Donation," in order to both register for the walk, or run, or simply donate. You will be able to designate whether you plan to walk or run or just donate thereafter. (Tip: Do NOT type in a dollar sign "$" with your donation amount or it will cause an error and will not go through until you remove the dollar sign.) Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions.
Please share this event with your friends, family, and co-workers. It's a great way to start the morning with a fun walk, food, and entertainment while supporting Hawaii's deserving non-profit organizations! This year about 66 non-profit groups are using this joint charity event with the collective goal to raise $350,000 for their non-profit organizations. This will be my third year running in the event and I highly recommend it. Mahalo nui loa for your support!
Kind Regards,
Christina (Chris) Whitworth, B.A.
